On February 27th 2014, at Radisson Blu Grand Hotel, Sofia, a meeting took place of potential Westinghouse Electric Companys’ Suppliers, with respect to the build of a new Bulgarian nuclear power plant project.
The construction of nuclear power plants with the latest Westinghouse’s technology – AP-1000 two-loop Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR), gives the opportunity to companies from different fields to deliver products and services, needed for the build. Using the approach “We Buy Where We Build”™, Westinghouse aspires to attract local suppliers in the countries, where the AP-1000 PWR are going to be built.
At the meeting, Westinghouse presented their views about the construction of a new nuclear power plant in the town of Kozloduy and their development’s strategy of the supply chain in Bulgaria, including the process of supplier’s estimation and approval.
